Plenary: "Walls that Teach"

Carvings and paintings in caves ages ago. Graffiti and drawings on walls nowadays. What about your classroom? Find out about how to teach through walls by means of useful techniques that will ensure exposure and that will anchor learning. Make your walls your most immediate resource in the classroom.

Integrating Pronunciation in your Classroom

We have been taught a lot about sounds, stress and intonation, but almost nothing about how to teach all this to our learners with the result that pronunciation work has always been the Ugly Duckling. Discover its true potential through fresh tips and advice on how to make pronunciation a natural component of your everyday teaching.

Involving your Students in the Process of Writing

Concurrent Workshop by Vanessa Bain.

Writing in a foreign language often proves to be too difficult a task for our learners, 21st Century people who can easily handle the rules of texting but find it hard to write a paragraph. As teachers, we need to count on a number of strategies to, first of all, involve our students in the topic and then to guide them throughout the process of writing. Learn about practical ways of achieving these aims and get yourself involved!
